overheard at an event (paraphrasing as best I can): “the implicit bias to address, the bias that we put into what we code, is the that humans are inferior to another. we compare ourselves to myths, to god-beings, to mothers and fathers, to others around us. this inferiority complex shows up in how we approach ai. we frame ourselves as inferior to what we are creating, which creates a power system that we feel subordanite to, when the reality is we are creating the system, thus we are the superior agent in the system.
